Travel Together, Stay Together

If you have a partner, then you will know that each anniversary that comes is just as special as the first. It is a time to show your love, care, appreciation and devotion to each other, and you should both make an effort to make the day as special as it can be.

Some couples choose to spend the evening of their anniversary by having a meal together in a good restaurant, others choose to go out to town and have a few celebratory drinks, while others (especially if it is an anniversary of note and importance) choose to spend some time away with each other and travel someplace new where they have always wanted to visit.

Traveling is an exciting part of being in a relationship. You are experiencing new parts of the world with your closest companion, with both of you able to enjoy the time you are spending together without the pressures of everyday life: work, bills, family etc.

When you do choose to travel with your partner, whether it is for an anniversary or a special occasion, or you are simply going traveling because you want to, it is really important that you both take the time to talk about and research where you would like to go. For example, if your partner doesn’t like trekking, there is no point going somewhere like Nepal, or if you are not a fan of late night partying there will be no point in going somewhere like Ibiza.

However, if you both decide to travel for that special occasion you should always make sure that you give your partner a gift. Yes, you will be traveling and that may be costly and could be enough to show your love, but a gift adds that little bit more spark - it shows you have put a lot of thought in. If your partner is a collector of certain items, buy an item that they have not yet managed to get. If your partner is a fan of a band, get them a signed CD. Or, if your partner appreciates quirky things, search on the internet for sites like

Traveling is a great way to reconnect with your partner if you both live busy lives. If you feel like you get home from work and see your other half for an hour or two before you are too tired and ready for bed, seriously think about investing in a holiday together.

As well as exploring new places which you have only dreamt about before, traveling will enable you to take photographs to look back on and talk about. This will create great and sincere memories for you both, which you can share with family and friends. So, if you have a special occasion or a big anniversary coming up, take the time to save some money and seriously think about spending those savings on a holiday, a traveling trip, a weekend away, or even a night away. It will be worth it.
